Board of Trustees Meeting

City University Ajman held a Board of Trustees meeting at CU Ajman campus on October 19 presided over by the Chairman of the board, H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi and the Vice Chairman, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi.

HH Sheikh Rashid emphasised on the University’s alignment with the UAE’s leadership vision for the higher education sector and the contribution the University should aim to make towards empowering the youth with future skills.

HH Sheikh Rashid the importance of the international  accreditations and rankings to expand on University’s internationalisation efforts.

The President, Mr. Imran Khan, appraised the Board Members regarding University’s on-going efforts and progress made in Academic Year 2020-2021. Further, he took the opportunity to discuss CU Ajman’s upcoming plans in Academic Year 2021-2022 and its efforts towards achieving institutional excellence.

The President elaborated on CU Ajman’s key achievements which included licensure renewal, QS Star Rating, international accreditation and ranking progress and a vital role CU Ajman is playing to ensure excellence in teaching, research, student services and contributions to the community.

Additionally, the discussion entailed internationalization strategy and its progress, one of University’s core strength University Management System and Distance Learning Unit which are developed in-house to ensure our students have easy access to all convenient student services

Mr. Imran Khan expanded on recent infrastructure improvements. Recently, the University built a state-of-the-art Dental Simulation Lab which included 21 Phantom Heads and its preparedness of classrooms with latest technologies, live broadcasting, and e-learning tools to support dynamic learning with amenities while embedding health and safety standards

The meeting was concluded by H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi with inputs from the board members in setting the agenda for Academic Year 2021 – 2022 which included enhancement of University’s strategy to strengthen its core values and provide students with a unique learning experience through adding programs that are in demand by the job market.
